Lazy Toad Restaurant, Sports Bar and Lounge

5331 SW 22nd Place, Topeka

Todd Howell's exciting new sports bar & restaurant opened in the Fairlawn Plaza Mall in April 2011. Howell, a partner in Bullfrog's Live for nine years, has created a spectacular new place that holds more than 300. Live music on the weekends.

The restaurant features home style food with favorites such as chicken and meatloaf as well as New York-style pizza.



El Azteca Club

1201 S.E. 6th, Topeka

El Azteca Club at S.E. 6th and Lake offers traditional and contemporary Latin music. In 1997, Jorge Munoz and his family purchased the building and started rennovating the place. The family, with deep roots in Mexico, also own Los Portales restaurant across the street. El Azteca plays salsa, Reggeton, Merengue, Cubia's, Norteno, R&B and Hip Hop.



Moose Lodge

1901 N. Kansas Ave., Topeka

Once the most popular dining, drinking and dancing destination in the city, the Moose Lodge remains a vibrant social and service club with nearly 1,300 members. It offers full-service dining and live bands three nights a week, bingo three times a week and karaoke on Sundays. The Moose supports veterans activities and the JROTC program at Topeka High. And, yes, there's a moose head in the ballroom!



The Den

1116 N.W. Lower Silver Lake Road, Topeka

Marriage didn't work out for Sue and Willie Artzer, but the private club the ex's opened in 1984 has lasted. Willie died in 1999, and Sue now runs The Den -- a place she calls "down-home country, probably one of the last honky-tonks." Look for live, local country bands on Fridays and Saturdays. Locals fill the place the rest of the week.



Boobie Trap Bar

1417 W 6th, Topeka

Known by regulars as The Trap, this dimly lit place, with beat up floors and worn wooden fixtures, give the impression this place has been thoroughly used and enjoyed by its patrons for years. Live bands perform on the main floor while customers play pool on the second floor. Bartender Elaine Appelhanz says life at The Trap is "awesome," people of all walks of life are welcome.



Uncle Bo's (Ramada Hotel)

420 S.E. 6th , Topeka

With blues fans congregating from across the state, Uncle Bo's offers live, nationally recognized acts Friday and Saturday nights. Look to Uncle Bo's Web site for a listing of shows. Advance tickets are sold to bigger concerts, but most nights it's first-come, first-served, and the place can fill up fast. If you've got something special to celebrate, book the VIP room just off the stage.



Club Orleans

8249 SW 10th Ave, Topeka

On March 23, 2012, Club Orleans became an after hours gentlemen's club where patrons bring their own alcohol and enjoy adult entertainment with beautiful ladies from 1:30 a.m. until 5 a.m. in the morning. In addition to the entertainment, there will be an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet.
