Flying Monkey was rebranded PTs Coffee Roasting Co. on July 19, 2012.

Flying Monkey Handcrafted Brews is a cafe specializing in serving Direct Trade Coffee and Espresso and select brews from Micro-Breweries, including The Blind Tiger. The Monkey is located in the College Hill District at 17th & Washburn next to Washburn University.



Abigail's Grill & Bar

3701 SW Plaza Drive, Topeka

Formerly That Place, Abigail's Grill & Bar opened in November 2011. Owned by Frank and Abigail Saiya, Abigail's aims to be a neighborhood bar for South Topeka. With a menu that features breakfast all day with a southern twist (think comfort food), Abigail's will also have burgers and sandwiches to go along with a full bar.



Blue Moose Bar & Grill

3030 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka

The Blue Moose opened on Nov. 7, 2011, in the former Brick Oven building. An upscale sports bar known for amazing food, Blue Moose also has a wide variety of cocktails and beer. The bar is classy and a unique patio make this a great addition to Topeka.

The Blue Moose is still deciding what hours they will be open, so if you plan on going late, you might want to call first.



Weller’s Grill & Bar

222 N.W. Independence, Topeka

Built as North Topeka’s only sports grill and bar, Weller’s TV sets offer 416 inches of viewing area. Owners, Jason Jennings and Richard Jennings have designed the place so there is “no bad seat in the house.”

Weller’s offers 10 beer selections on tap including micro-brews and a menu that includes steak, seafood, pasta, burgers and appetizers. Hours are 11 a.m. to midnight seven days a week.



Quinton's Bar & Deli

4121 S.W. Huntoon, Topeka

Located in Gage Center, Quinton's is the perfect place to grab a beer and enjoy a conversation in a cozy, laid-back atmosphere. The full-service bar has a dozen beers on tap, including Boulevard and Guinness, and dozens of bottles to choose from, so you're sure to find your favorite brew. The Celtic Fox

118 S.W. 8th, Topeka

Fancy a pint? Find a bit of Ireland in this cool limestone storefront in downtown Topeka. This bar serves all the great Irish beers -- Smithwicks, Harp and Guinness -- from a long wood bar. Below the Row at RowHouse Restaurant

515 S.W. Van Buren, Topeka

Enter this ultra-chic sophisticated bar through red velvet curtains. There's space for 12, making it a cozy spot for drinks for two or guests waiting for tables at the upscale restaurant above. Like the rest of the RowHouse, the bar retains the old home's charm with an old fireplace, but it mixes in a contemporary, cool vibe. A great place for good wine or ask about the specialty cocktails.



On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina

The bar at On the Border has six beers on tap, plus a variety of bottled beers, including domestic and Mexican, and mixed drinks. Half-price appetizers are served from 3-7 p.m. Smoking is allowed only in the bar, and a patio is available.



Water's Edge Lounge, Capitol Plaza Hotel

1717 S.W. Topeka Blvd., Topeka

This bar is a great place to get away from the rest of Topeka and mingle with people from across the country. The bar is in an open canopy filled with a lot of natural light, plants, fountain and pond with water passing through. You sit down and forget you're in Topeka. Order food from Falling Water Grille. Public is welcome.



Michelle's Lounge

605 SW Fairlawn Road, Topeka

Michelle's Lounge -- a Topeka destination for more than 30 years -- is a quiet getaway. Go there for intimate conversation and enjoy the great food (fish, steaks and burgers). Eight beers are on tap, plus bottled domestic and imports and mixed drinks. Glenlivet and Gray Goose, Chivas, Jack Daniels -- all the good stuff -- available. Margaritas and daiquiris are mixed to perfection.
