Boobie Trap Bar

Known by regulars as The Trap, this dimly lit place, with beat up floors and worn wooden fixtures, give the impression this place has been thoroughly used and enjoyed by its patrons for years. Live bands perform on the main floor while customers play pool on the second floor. Bartender Elaine Appelhanz says life at The Trap is "awesome," people of all walks of life are welcome.



Goose Again

Formerly Sidelines, Goose Again is a new sports bar located in Fleming Place. Goose Again opened in mid-October 2010 and is more than your typical bar and grill with a wait staff that goes above and beyond the effort you'd expect. Reed's Lakeside Bar & Grill

Formerly McB's, Reed's Lakeside Bar & Grill, attracts regulars as well as people from neighboring Lake Shawnee who want relief from playing baseball, golfing, fishing or swimming. Local boxers Derrick and Damon Reed also owns Reed's Ringside Bar just north of Topeka.



Blind Tiger Brewery & Restaurant

The Blind Tiger brewmaster brews about 1,000 barrels of beer yearly and keeps eight different beers on tap. Growlers are available to be filled and refilled. Plus, the Blind Tiger has an extensive menu, with pastas, soups, salads, steaks, shrimp and appetizers. Look for patio seating in the summer.

Boss Hawg's added Pigskin's next door in 2003 as a separate bar but with same great food. It has a sports decor with wood furniture, lots of character, several beers on tap and smoking. It's a great place to watch a game -- and check out the half-price menu from 10 p.m. to midnight. "Beer, sports and barbecue go together real well," the late owner Hank Lumpkin once said.



Baby Dolls

Baby Dolls is a gentleman's club featuring about 10 girls per night. During race times at nearby Heartland Park Topeka, the bar features up to 50 different girls. There is a big stage for the girls to dance, plus plenty of cushy seating for customers. The full-service kitchen serves steak, shrimp, hamburgers, chicken and salads. Drink specials every day. Lunch specials are every weekday.
