Abigail's Grill & Bar

Formerly That Place, Abigail's Grill & Bar opened in November 2011. Owned by Frank and Abigail Saiya, Abigail's aims to be a neighborhood bar for South Topeka. With a menu that features breakfast all day with a southern twist (think comfort food), Abigail's will also have burgers and sandwiches to go along with a full bar.



The Burger Stand

1601 S.W. Lane, Topeka

The Burger Stand opened on Sept. 8, 2011.

Robert Krause started one of Topeka's trendiest eateries — New City Cafe — and his newest creation, The Burger Stand, opened in College Hill. With gourmet burgers & fries, The Burger Stand will raises the ante on the gourmet burgers. Featuring two bars with more than a dozen craft beers on tap plus pool and ping pong tables.



Blue Moose Bar & Grill

3030 SW Wanamaker Rd., Topeka

The Blue Moose opened on Nov. 7, 2011, in the former Brick Oven building. An upscale sports bar known for amazing food, Blue Moose also has a wide variety of cocktails and beer. The bar is classy and a unique patio make this a great addition to Topeka.

The Blue Moose is still deciding what hours they will be open, so if you plan on going late, you might want to call first.



Lazy Toad Restaurant, Sports Bar and Lounge

5331 SW 22nd Place, Topeka

Todd Howell's exciting new sports bar & restaurant opened in the Fairlawn Plaza Mall in April 2011. Howell, a partner in Bullfrog's Live for nine years, has created a spectacular new place that holds more than 300. Live music on the weekends.

The restaurant features home style food with favorites such as chicken and meatloaf as well as New York-style pizza.



J&J Gallery Bar

917 N. Kansas Ave., Topeka

After their biker bar in Emmett went up in flames in 2009, Jona and John Rupnicki found a new location in downtown North Topeka. In the fall of 2012, Ruffnecks reopened as J&J Gallery Bar to blend in with the NOTO arts district. Inside, you'll find plenty of cold beer as well as featured artwork from local artists. El Centinela Mexican Restaurant

El Centinela fans rejoice! The restaurant and bar is alive and well at its new location near S.W. 21st and Belle. Still serving 99-cent margaritas on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, Mexican and domestic bottled beer specials on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, and mixed drinks, the bar is a great place to watch the big game. El Mezcal Restaurant No. 4

The Celtic Fox
