American Legion Jimmie Lillard Post No. 31

Every Saturday night is steak night, with servings of KC Strip, Ribeye, grilled salmon, hamburgers and chicken strips. It's a complete meal with homemade green beans, rolls, salad and drink. Jimmie Lillard was a local military hero who was killed while serving his country in wartime.



Mikey's Bar & Grill

This place has a warm homey feeling, where everybody knows your name. It's a small-town bar and information center, where you can find out what's going on in town. You're welcome here. Families and bikers and anyone connected with life on Highway 24 may want to stop in here for a few laughs and good times.



On the Border Mexican Grill and Cantina

The bar at On the Border has six beers on tap, plus a variety of bottled beers, including domestic and Mexican, and mixed drinks. Half-price appetizers are served from 3-7 p.m. Smoking is allowed only in the bar, and a patio is available.



Kickstart Saloon

2521 N Kansas Ave, Topeka

The Kickstart is the No. 1 hangout for bikers in Topeka. These aren't Hells Angels -- just Topekans who like to ride their motorcycles and stop in for a cold one. The bartenders, including Cindy, are considered some of the best in the business. Beginning in May, the bar hosts bands every Thursday night.

This well-known bar and grill entices customers with a family-friendly, fun atmosphere. The casual bar features three flatscreen TVs and a 10 percent military discount. Don't leave without sampling the food with a Southwest flair.



Henry T's Bar & Grill

1521 S.W. 21st St., Topeka

This spacious bar and grill imported from Lawrence packs in the fans for KU games, but it isn't exclusively a favorite of Jayhawk faithful. Henry T's -- located near Washburn University -- serves up rum specials every day as well as other specials that will quench your thirst. Check out their great wings and burgers served with insane amounts of French fries.
