The Burger Stand

The Burger Stand opened on Sept. 8, 2011.

Robert Krause started one of Topeka's trendiest eateries — New City Cafe — and his newest creation, The Burger Stand, opened in College Hill. With gourmet burgers & fries, The Burger Stand will raises the ante on the gourmet burgers. Featuring two bars with more than a dozen craft beers on tap plus pool and ping pong tables.



Lazy Toad Restaurant, Sports Bar and Lounge

Todd Howell's exciting new sports bar & restaurant opened in the Fairlawn Plaza Mall in April 2011. Howell, a partner in Bullfrog's Live for nine years, has created a spectacular new place that holds more than 300. Live music on the weekends.

The restaurant features home style food with favorites such as chicken and meatloaf as well as New York-style pizza.



Last Pocket

5009 S.W. 29th , Topeka

Last Pocket offers six pool tables and big-screen TVs. The quaint, hidden gem at S.W. 29th and Fairlawn has cocktails and cold beer, along with a snack bar. They also offer weekly pool tournaments and pool leagues. They have an ATM.



The Fantasy

Take a break from the turnpike and unwind with a visit to this historic gentleman's club. Located east of Topeka at the intersection of US-40 Highway and Shadden Rd., The Fantasy -- once the site of a popular restaurant -- is a laid-back, country getaway with cold drinks and hot dancers. It also was the birthplace of Baby Dolls, now located in South Topeka.



Topeka Sports Cabaret

It doesn't get any better than sports and strippers, and Topeka Sports Cabaret features both. The wood-paneled, 8,200-square-foot club (formerly Snafu's) boasts a 30-foot bar, two stages for dancers, two VIP rooms and a 15-foot big screen among its array of TVs. There are daily drink specials, a food menu ranging from corndogs to ribeye steaks and a Friday food buffet ($7) from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Advance tickets are sold to bigger concerts, but most nights it's first-come, first-served, and the place can fill up fast. If you've got something special to celebrate, book the VIP room just off the stage.



Baby Dolls

5300 SW Topeka Blvd, Topeka

Baby Dolls is a gentleman's club featuring about 10 girls per night. During race times at nearby Heartland Park Topeka, the bar features up to 50 different girls. There is a big stage for the girls to dance, plus plenty of cushy seating for customers. The full-service kitchen serves steak, shrimp, hamburgers, chicken and salads. Drink specials every day. Lunch specials are every weekday.
